Website Care Terms of Service

These terms apply to Website Care maintenance plans provided by Reddogdesigns Inc ("Reddogdesigns", "I", "me") to you, the client. By subscribing to a Website Care plan, you agree to these terms. They are written in plain language. If anything is unclear, ask through the contact form below before you subscribe.

1. Packages

  • Essentials: 4 hours a month. $500 a month, month-to-month. Not available on a 3-month term.
  • Growth: 8 hours a month. $1,000 a month, month-to-month, or $950 a month billed $2,850 every 3 months on a 3-month term.
  • Priority: 16 hours a month. $2,000 a month, month-to-month, or $1,800 a month billed $5,400 every 3 months on a 3-month term.
  • Custom: 20 or more hours a month, or a special scope. Quoted separately.

All prices are in Canadian dollars (CAD). Applicable taxes are added where required.

2. Billing

  • Plans are billed in advance through Stripe, either monthly or every 3 months for a 3-month term.
  • Your plan starts on the date you subscribe and renews automatically at the start of each billing period until you cancel.
  • 3-month terms are billed every 3 months in advance and renew automatically for another 3 months unless cancelled at least 14 days before renewal.
  • If a payment fails, I may pause work until it is resolved.

3. What is included

  • Platform, plugin, and security updates.
  • Security monitoring and uptime checks.
  • Backups.
  • A short monthly report.
  • Your package's monthly hours for fixes, content changes, small improvements, or automation work.

4. What is not included

  • New features or projects that go beyond your monthly hours. These are quoted separately.
  • Third-party licence and subscription costs, such as paid plugins, themes, CMS licences, or software services.
  • Hosting, domain names, and email hosting, unless we agree otherwise in writing.

5. Hours

  • Your hours are available each month of your plan.
  • Unused hours do not carry over. They expire at the end of each month.
  • Extra work beyond your monthly hours is billed at your package's effective hourly rate, which is the package price divided by its hours:
    • Essentials: $125 an hour month-to-month.
    • Growth: $125 an hour month-to-month, $118.75 an hour on a 3-month term.
    • Priority: $125 an hour month-to-month, $112.50 an hour on a 3-month term.
  • I will ask for your approval before working beyond your included hours.

6. Response times

  • Priority: best effort to respond within one business day.
  • Growth and Essentials: best effort to respond within two business days.

A response means I have acknowledged your request and started looking at it. It does not mean the work is finished. Business days are Monday to Friday, excluding British Columbia statutory holidays.

7. Your responsibilities

  • Access: provide and maintain the access I need, such as CMS, hosting, and DNS logins.
  • Content: provide content and approvals when needed. You are responsible for the content on your website.
  • Third-party accounts: you own and pay for your hosting, domain, licences, and other third-party accounts, and keep them active.

8. Cancellation

  • Cancel at least 14 days before your next billing date by replying to any of my emails, through the contact form, or through the Stripe customer portal.
  • 3-month terms renew automatically for another 3 months unless cancelled at least 14 days before renewal.
  • There are no refunds for the current billing period. Your plan continues until the end of the period you have paid for.

9. Changes to these terms

I may update these terms. I will give you at least 30 days' notice by email before changes take effect. If you continue your plan after that date, the updated terms apply.

10. Limitation of liability

I take reasonable care with your website, but I cannot guarantee that it will be free of errors, downtime, or security incidents, or that third-party software and services will work as expected. Backups are a precaution, not a guarantee.

To the extent permitted by law, Reddogdesigns Inc is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including lost profits, revenue, or data. Its total liability for any claim relating to a Website Care plan is limited to the fees you paid for that plan in the 3 months before the claim.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. Any dispute will be handled in the courts of British Columbia.
