Who this is for.

Craft CMS suits organizations with real content to manage and a team that needs to manage it. These are the people I usually build for.

  • Marketing teams who want to edit without a developer

Your current CMS fights you. You want structured content, flexible page building, and an editing experience your team likes using.

  • Organizations with complex content

Data, dashboards, maps, several audiences, or more than one language. Craft handles this well when the content model is planned properly.

  • Businesses selling online

You need products, variants, or custom checkout rules that off-the-shelf platforms make awkward. Craft Commerce gives you that control.

  • Owners of an older Craft site

You are on an older version of Craft and need to upgrade, or the original developer has moved on and you need someone who knows the platform.

  • Agencies without a Craft specialist

You sell Craft builds but do not have a Craft developer on staff. I also work white-label for agencies.

What I deliver.

Every Craft project is custom. Here is the work I do most often as a Craft CMS developer.

  • Custom Craft CMS websites

Design-led builds with clean templates, structured content, and a control panel set up around your team rather than a generic theme.

  • Content modelling

Sections, entry types, fields, and relationships planned around how your content is really used, so editors can build pages without breaking layouts and content can be reused across the site.

  • Craft Commerce development

Online stores with products, variants, custom pricing rules, and payment gateways. Weber Powder and Weber Arctic both run on Craft Commerce.

  • Craft CMS upgrades

Upgrades from older versions of Craft, including plugin replacements, template changes, and testing on a staging site, so your site stays supported and secure.

  • Integrations, maps, and dashboards

Connections to CRMs, booking and accounting systems, and other APIs, plus interactive maps and data dashboards like the BCUC Interactive Map and the BCSFA Performance Dashboard.

  • Craft CMS maintenance

Updates, security monitoring, backups, and hours for improvements through a monthly Website Care plan.

How it works.

  1. Step 1: Discovery

We look at your goals, your content, and who edits it. If you have an existing site, I review it first.

  2. Step 2: Content model and UX

I plan the content structure and page templates and map out the user experience before visual design starts.

  3. Step 3: Design

I design the site, or build from your designer's or agency's files.

  4. Step 4: Build

I develop the templates, configure Craft, and set up a staging site you can review throughout the project.

  5. Step 5: Content and training

Content is migrated or entered, and your team gets a walkthrough of the control panel and a short written guide.

  6. Step 6: Launch and care

Launch, post-launch checks, and ongoing maintenance if you want it.

Why Reddogdesigns.

Craft CMS has been my main platform since it launched in 2013. I know where its strengths are, which plugins are worth using, and how to structure a site so it still makes sense to your editors years later. I also offer Craft CMS work to clients and agencies across Canada and the US.

  • 25 years building for the web

I have run Reddogdesigns since 2001 and have seen most of the ways a web project can go wrong, so I plan around them from day one. As a senior UX/UI designer and front-end developer, I do the design and the code myself, so nothing gets lost in a handoff.

  • Craft CMS since 2013

I have worked with Craft CMS almost exclusively since it launched in 2013, and I build on WordPress and Shopify when they suit the project better.

  • Enterprise background

Past clients include Adobe, SAP, Disney, lululemon, Telus, Oracle, National Geographic, and design agencies across North America.

  • Flexible capacity

Reddogdesigns is a solo studio. I bring in trusted design, development, and content specialists as a project needs them, and use AI-assisted development to deliver faster. You always deal with me.

Frequently asked questions.

Why choose Craft CMS over WordPress?

Craft gives you structured content and a clean editing experience without relying on dozens of plugins. It suits sites with complex content, custom layouts, or several editors. WordPress can be a better fit for simpler sites and tighter budgets. I build on both and will recommend the one that fits.

How much does a Craft CMS website cost?

Craft CMS builds typically start at $25,000 CAD. The final cost depends on the number of templates, integrations, content migration, and whether Craft Commerce is involved.

Can you upgrade my existing Craft CMS site?

Yes. I upgrade sites from older Craft versions, replace unsupported plugins, update templates, and test everything on a staging site before it goes live.

Do you take over Craft sites built by someone else?

Yes. I start with a review of the code, plugins, and hosting, then tell you what needs attention now and what can wait.

Do you build Craft Commerce stores?

Yes. Weber Powder and Weber Arctic both run on Craft Commerce. I handle products, variants, pricing rules, payment gateways, and connections to accounting systems.

Do you offer Craft CMS maintenance?

Yes. Monthly Website Care plans start at $500 CAD a month. Each plan includes Craft CMS updates, security monitoring, backups, and hours for changes and improvements.

Do you work with clients outside Vancouver?

Yes. I work with clients and agencies across Canada and the US.
