White-label web development for agencies

A senior developer who works as part of your team and under your name, so you can take on more projects without hiring.

Start a project

Who this is for.

This is for design, branding, and marketing agencies that sell websites but do not want to carry a full development team all year.

  • You have more work than developers

A big project lands, or three land at once. Hiring takes months and the work is due in weeks. You need an agency development partner who can start soon and does not need hand-holding.

  • Your designs lose something in development

You have handed off careful designs and got back something close but not quite right. You want a developer who notices spacing, type, and motion, and asks before guessing.

  • You sell Craft CMS but have no Craft developer

Clients ask for Craft, or you have inherited a Craft site, and nobody on staff knows it well. An outsourced Craft CMS developer with years on the platform fills that gap.

  • Freelancers have let you down before

Missed deadlines, contractors who disappear, or code your team cannot maintain. You need someone dependable who communicates and documents the work.

  • You need to protect the client relationship

Your client hired you. Anyone you bring in has to stay behind the scenes and respect that, during the project and after it.

What I deliver.

I work as an extension of your team. You can bring me in at the concept stage or when designs are ready for development.

  • Front-end development from your designs

I build from Figma or other design files into clean, responsive, accessible front-end code. I match the design closely, handle the details designers care about, and flag anything that will not work well on smaller screens before it becomes a problem.

  • Craft CMS, WordPress, and Shopify builds

Full builds on the platform that suits the project. On Craft CMS that means content modelling, templates, Craft Commerce, and plugins. On WordPress it means custom themes and blocks rather than page builders. On Shopify it means custom themes your client can manage.

  • Content modelling and CMS setup

A site is only as good as the editing experience behind it. I structure content so your client's editors can update pages without breaking layouts, and I can write short editor guides under your name.

  • Integrations and complex functionality

Gated content, member access rules, single sign-on, data migration, third-party APIs, ecommerce, and automation. These are the parts of a project that tend to run over, and the parts agencies most often bring me in for.

  • Overflow and ongoing support

Overflow web development when your team is at capacity, and support after launch for updates, fixes, and small improvements, billed to you. That lets you offer clients a maintenance plan without staffing one.

How it works.

  1. Step 1: Introduction call

We talk about the project, your team, the timeline, and how you like to work. If you need an NDA, I am happy to sign one.

  2. Step 2: Scope and estimate

I review the designs or brief and give you an hourly or fixed-price estimate, with the assumptions written down so there are no surprises later.

  3. Step 3: Set up inside your workflow

I join your chat, project management tool, and code repository. Your client sees your team, not a subcontractor.

  4. Step 4: Build and review

I work in short cycles with a staging site you can review at any time. You get regular progress updates and early warning of any risk to the schedule.

  5. Step 5: Launch and handover

I handle deployment and launch checks, then hand over documentation your team can use. The code belongs to you and your client.

  6. Step 6: Stay on, or step back

Keep me on for support and the next project, or take it from here. Either is fine.

Relevant work.

  • CONTENT MODELLING / GATED CONTENT / INTEGRATIONS / SINGLE SIGN-ON

    Association website platform

I led development on a large association website platform for an agency partner. The work covered content modelling, gated content and access rules, data migration planning, third-party integrations, and single sign-on. The agency and the association are not named, which is how white-label work should be.

Why Reddogdesigns.

I have spent much of my career working with design agencies across North America, so I know what a good development partner looks like from your side of the table. I stay invisible to your client, I never approach an agency's clients for work, and I care about code quality because your reputation depends on it.

  • 25 years building for the web

I have run Reddogdesigns since 2001 and have seen most of the ways a web project can go wrong, so I plan around them from day one. As a senior UX/UI designer and front-end developer, I do the design and the code myself, so nothing gets lost in a handoff.

  • Craft CMS since 2013

I have worked with Craft CMS almost exclusively since it launched in 2013, and I build on WordPress and Shopify when they suit the project better.

  • Enterprise background

Past clients include Adobe, SAP, Disney, lululemon, Telus, Oracle, National Geographic, and design agencies across North America.

  • Flexible capacity

Reddogdesigns is a solo studio. I bring in trusted design, development, and content specialists as a project needs them, and use AI-assisted development to deliver faster. You always deal with me.

Pricing.

Hourly or fixed-price, depending on scope.

What affects the cost

  • How complete the designs are when I join the project
  • The platform and the number of page templates
  • Integrations, data migration, and custom functionality
  • The timeline and how much of my week the project needs
  • Whether you want ongoing support after launch

Every project gets a written estimate before work starts. Tell me about your project.

Frequently asked questions.

What does white-label web development mean?

It means I build the website and your agency delivers it under your name. Your client deals with you, and my work is part of your service. My name does not appear in the code, the footer, or any client communication.

Will you ever contact our clients directly?

Only if you ask me to, and then as part of your team. I never approach an agency's clients for work, during a project or after it.

Can you join a project that is already in progress?

Yes. I can join at the concept stage to advise on what is practical to build, or later in development to add capacity or take over from another developer. I start by reviewing the code and designs so I know what I am taking on.

Which platforms do you work with?

Mostly Craft CMS, which I have used almost exclusively since it launched in 2013. I also build on WordPress and Shopify.

How do you charge agencies?

Hourly or fixed-price, depending on scope. Fixed prices work well when the designs are final. Hourly works better for ongoing support or projects that are still taking shape.

Can you help with UX and design as well as development?

Yes. I am a senior UX/UI designer as well as a front-end developer, so I can review designs for usability and build feasibility, or design templates that were not part of the original scope.

Do you use AI to write code?

I use AI-assisted development to move faster on routine parts of a build. Every change is reviewed and tested by me, and the result is code your team can read and maintain.
